Are there any social psychology approaches based on transactional analise?

I am not a psychiatrist but am a patient of them. Transactional Analysis was a psychoanalytic method developed by Eric Berne MD in the late 50's. He also wrote several books on the subject and founded "The International Transactional Analysis Association." I think there still are social psychological approaches based on Transactional Analysis.
