I live in a largely populated Italian suburb in Sydney Australia. I love Italian people. I love the smell of their food cooking when I walk past their houses.

I love the Italy.
I have been many times to Rome, Venice, Milan, Florence and Turin for business as well as pleasure and I never get tired of going there.
The people are very friendly (I never had an evening on my own unless I wanted to be alone) and genuine. The food and drink is fantastic, and the culture and scenery is just awesome.
The only place I haven't really liked was Naples. The people were still great, but I didn't enjoy walking round the darker, dingier bits - it is the only place in Italy that I didn't feel safe.

I studied abroad there some years ago. Country is amazing! I was in Florence, but was able to travel around. I was in awe. It was surprising to me see the difference between American and Italian men. Italian men seem more comfortable in their own skin. Most American men are afraid to be demonstrative with their male counterparts. Being very stylish is seen as feminine here. Lots of differences.
The noise was another shock. Also, no one seems to wait in line in Italy. It's kind of first come first serve. And I didn't like some of the attitude shown towards tourists.
Can't wait to go back though!

I love Italy, i was born, and raised there for 5 years. I go to Italy for Christmas every year, best place in the world.
