I often get a feeling on localised areas of my body that is the same feeling as sunburn.I have it on and around my shin and on my abdomen.Sometimes i get it on the inside of my arm.The feeling is contained to small areas but can be quite painful.It does not feel any worse when touched.

There is no rash at all and i have had it on and off for about two years.Could it be linked to hormone changes.

Do you have any other medical problems, or are you taking any medications? I have fibromyalgia and get the same stinging, burning in my skin when I have flair ups. Also my doctor had me on Vicodin for chronic pain and I had to switch to another pain killer because it was making the burning worst.

do you have dry or sensitive skin? There are a lot of possibilities...like ecezma, heat rash, dry skin, etc.
Also have you been picking up any worms/caterpillars..some of them have little stingers on them...?
could it be your clothing? laundry detergent? new lotion? soap? just some things to think of.
You could probably find some info on webmd about it..or howthingswork.com

I know that some materials make me feel that way...you have nerves on your skin..and hairs...so...they will let you know when something is unpleasant....
wool does this to me..when it comes in direct contact with my skin....

I have no idea dude...that's pretty odd...though I'm at the other end of the spectrum when it comes to sweating...I really have to push damn hard before I even start sweating.
