Probably, but continue to watch your pup. As I am assuming you know, chocolate is very harmful to your pet and can be fatal, in some cases, so be sure to keep it away from him from now on! Unless he is acting differently, lethargic (tired more), or vomiting, he's going to be fine. I think if there were going to be a reaction, it would have probably already happened, and you would be able to tell your dog was sick. If he looks fine, I'm sure he's none the worse for eating it, but don't let it happen again!!

HERE'S AN ARTICLE:

The good news is that it takes, on average, a fairly large amount of theobromine 100-150 mg/kg to cause a toxic reaction. Although there are variables to consider like the individual sensitivity, animal size and chocolate concentration.

On average,
Milk chocolate contains 44 mg of theobromine per oz.
Semisweet chocolate contains 150mg/oz.
Baker's chocolate 390mg/oz.

Using a dose of 100 mg/kg as the toxic dose it comes out roughly as:
1 ounce per 1 pound of body weight for Milk chocolate
1 ounce per 3 pounds of body weight for Semisweet chocolate
1 ounce per 9 pounds of body weight for Baker's chocolate.

So, for example, 2 oz. of Baker's chocolate can cause great risk to an 15 lb. dog. Yet, 2 oz. of Milk chocolate usually will only cause digestive problems.

Clinical Signs

Xanthines affect the nervous system, cardiovascular system and peripheral nerves. It has a diuretic effect as well. Clinical signs:

Hyper excitability
Hyper irritability
Increased heart rate
Restlessness
Increased urination
Muscle tremors
Vomiting
Diarrhea

Treatment

There is no specific antidote for this poisoning. And the half life of the toxin is 17.5 hours in dogs. Induce vomiting in the first 1-2 hours if the quantity is unknown. Administering activated charcoal may inhibit absorption of the toxin. An anticonvulsant might be indicated if neurological signs are present and needs to be controlled. Oxygen therapy, intravenous medications, and fluids might be needed to protect the heart.

Milk chocolate will often cause diarrhea 12-24 hours after ingestion. This should be treated symptomatically (fluids, etc..) to prevent dehydration.

If you suspect your pet has ingested chocolate contact your Vet immediately! They can help you determine the the proper treatment for your pet.

I have 3 chihuahua,s and my friend has 4 they are all family, and get together often , we left them alone at home for an hour last xmas while we went down to do some last minuite xmas shopping, .
When we got back home our beautifully wrapped xmas presents, containing boxes of chocolates and assorted items ,were spread all over the house, all the chocolates were eaten! and the evidence was all over there faces ! Naughty puppies!!
They were not sick, They would have had to have a whole box each to cause them harm.
Recently my son left the chocolate cookies on the table , and my youngest chihuahua ate about 3, and she was fine.
Your puppy might have a little tummy ache or its poop may be a little runny, also it may have a little more energy from all the sugar.

Chocolate isnt good for puppy dogs , and exsessive amounts can harm them , Your dog should be fine , but if you are worried a phone call to your vet will put your mind at rest.

There's not that much chocolate on a Skor bar, which means he didn't consume that much. More than likely he'll be fine, but if you see any signs of toxicity like diarrhea or lethargy get him to the vet ASAP.

If he vomits, that's a good thing, that is what the vet would do; induce vomiting by giving him activated charcoal.

yes he will be fine. the worst that might happen is he gets a stomach ache and goes to the bathroom all over the house. My chihuahua did that too when he was 6 months old. now he's 8 months.

when ours did that we went to a vet and he said that he would be fine!!!!

No she isn't ok! you may desire to take her to the vet NOW. She desires to get carry of drugs to set off vomiting. A dogs that small fairly shouldn't consume better than a pair of chocolate chip earlier being taken to the vet. dark chocolate is the worst style of chocolate for canines to consume besides. you may desire to act rapid or this dogs will die.

contrary to popular belief, a dog must eat a great deal of chocolate to die from it. if the dog ate 3-4 whole bars I would worry, otherwise dont, he;ll be fine.
