I was on lithium for bi-polar disease for 5 years, then suddenly I had a bad reaction to it. The replacement drug my psychiatrist put me on is Depakote er. I currently am on 2000 mg. day, I was on 1500, but was still a bit manic, so my dosage was upped. I feel fine. I tried lexapro, never tried seroquil. I was on a zillion different drugs for a while, but now I only take the depakote.

Yes - took 500 mgs. of depakote and 300 mg. seroquel for bout two yrs. Though I felt like a zombie at times, they both seemed to help me. Seroquel was great for sleep.

initially in case you comprehend you're Bipolar why do you prefer to get off your drugs? the standard answer isn't liking the component consequences or lacking the manic stages. At any cost, you will desire to make an appt. with the well being care expert that prescribed the medicine and convey your concerns and why you choose off the medicine. that's amazingly risky to take your self off any variety of drugs.
