I have a Spoodle and want to create Spoodle puppies. Do I need to cross my ***** with a Poodle, or another spoodle, or is it ok to use a male cocker Spaniel? Please do not answer if you are against designer dogs.

My advice to anyone who has to ask how to breed or any breeding questions on yahoo answers - leave it to the professionals. BTW - "designer' mutt breeders are BYB, not professionals.

DO NOT BREED YOUR MUTT!!! GO TO YOUR LOCAL HUMANE SHELTER AND SEE ALL THE MUTTS THERE - BRED FOR MONEY AND TO LOOK CUTE IN SOME 16 YEAR OLD'S HAND BAG!!! ALL THE DOGS THERE HAVE BEEN LEFT THERE BY PEOPLE WHO WANT TO DISPOSE OF THEIR DOG. I BET 90% OF THOSE DOGS ARE MUTTS. JUST LIKE YOUR DOG.

Dachshund/Cocker Spaniel mix Mixed Breed Mutt etc. Unless it is like the Aussie Labradoodle which is being bred responsibly with the specific purpose of creating a new standardized breed it is just a mix. As far as I know, the Aussie Labradoodle is the only one that is being done that way. (The American variant is just a mix since the responsibility and intent of standardization are lacking)

Genetics 101 to get poodle puppies BOTH parents must be poodles . Otherwise the pups are an F1 hybrid as they would say in the genetics books (mutt would be the less flattering term) - cockapoos is I believe the mass market name for a poodle-cocker cross. TO call them poodls is rather unethical.
PS Standard poodles have a lotta genetic issues. Has your girl been tested? Otherwise the proper term for the pups is heartbreak.

A mutt by any other name.... calling them designer dogs is supposed to somehow make them worth money? Breed it with anything at all - you'll still produce more unwanted mutts!

It doesn't matter what you breed her with, they will still be mutts.
