How about a yummy Asian stir fry?
Fry some boiled rice in a pan with one beaten egg (unless they don't eat eggs either - some do) Add a little soy sauce or teriyaki sauce.
In another pan, with a little oil, put in broccoli florets, chopped celery, carrots, and snow peas. After they are semi cooked, add a can of water chestnuts, baby corn ears, and bamboo shoots. Any Asian type bottle of sauce will taste delicious poured over the top. Add some peanuts or cashews for some protein. Delish!

IHi. I've been a vegetarian since 1987 and although I have a terrible diet now, one of my favourite meals is a pasta blognese served on a crunchy salad with sliced tomatoes. It's pretty sexy really and those vitamins give you a real mean kick!!!!!
Alternatively you could try macaroni cheese - real easy - could give you instructions if you like or cauliflower chees - very similar. You then only have to choose other veg or salad. New pots with rock salt are yummy and a little marg. Vege of course.
OR you could do a little search to pick up some easy recipes. Just type in "vegetarian recipes" into the search engine and away you go. Good luck

Have a look in the vegetarian section of the supermarket freezers. Get some ideas from there, and if all else fails, buy a meal from there. It takes so much time finding and buying in the ingredients for a special veggie meal, she'll understand. Especially if you say you wanted to play safe and keep her meal away from any of the meat ones you cook

How about a really simple Indian dish? I'm vegetarian and I love this, and it's so easy to do!
Buy a packet of paneer, it's an Indian cottage cheese and you can get it in Tescos.
Buy a jar of Sharwood's Tikka Masala sauce.
Cut the paneer into cubes, and fry it in a little oil for about 3 minutes.
Then, add the sauce (you might want to water it down a bit)
Bring it to the boil, and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Then, add some peas to the sauce, and allow it to simmer for about 10/15 minutes more.
Serve it with Raita (also from Tescos), a cucumber/mint yoghurt type stuff, and rice and nan bread.
Easy and delicious. Hope this helps!

what a good friend you are! If he is 100 percent raw, he won't drink tea (the heat from the water destroys enzymes. If he is like most raw foodies, on an 80/10/10 diet, he will drink a tea such as chamomile or mint, which is made from dehydrated plants and herbs. I suggest a nice mint or chamomile, which can be bought in bulk at most healthfood stores.

In my humble vegetarian opinion dont serve omlette, pasta, cheese or baked potato as these are the choices we get everywhere and we get quite fed up of them!
Try something like a stir fry or curry they are easy to make. Try looking here for some inspiration

A vegetable salad is never a problem. I'm a new vegetarian and haven't had any problems eating out or with friends. I eat everything but the meat. My salad is quite large. lal667

You could do a nice salad. If you want to include meat (like a chicken salad), just put it in a bowl on the side. In fact, you can have all the extra salad fixings in small bowls on the side. The large main bowl would have the lettuce. Your guests can fix their salads buffet style. This worked for my friends and me. Enjoy.
