afterall i find it only a book thats about 3 kiols in weight and filled with horror stories.
why treat it as holy? whats so holy about it?

OPEN CHALLENGE for past 1400years now and future.
Say, "If all the humans and all the jinns banded together
in order to produce a Quran like this, they could never
produce anything like it, no matter how much assistance
they lent one another." [17:88]
If you have any doubt regarding what we revealed to our
servant, then produce one chapter/sura like these, and call upon
your own witnesses against GOD, if you are truthful.

This Quran could not possibly be authored by other than
GOD. It confirms all previous messages, and provides a
fully detailed scripture. It is infallible, for it comes from
the Lord of the universe. If they say, "He fabricated it,"
say, "Then produce one sura like these, and invite
whomever you wish, other than GOD, if you are truthful."
[10:37-38]
If they say, "He fabricated (the Quran)," tell them, "Then
produce ten suras like these, fabricated, and invite
whomever you can, other than GOD, if you are truthful."
[11:13]
Do they say, "He made it all up?" Instead, they are
simply disbelievers. Let them produce a Hadith like this,
if they are truthful. [52:33-34]

It is holy because for the muslim this is like a bible. Like we christians call it 'holy bible' the muslims call it 'holy qouran'

well! it's holy,providing all principles to lead life accordingly...n providing all evidences which science is still proving...but obviously who are not willing to understand it,deifnately won't find anythnig it...as guidance can never be for those have no willingness for it :)

Well then how is it any different than the Jewish torah or the Christian Bible? The Koran is essentially based on those books, so if you can't respect the Koran you can't respect any of them. P.S. You want horror stories? Have a read through the book of Genesis :)

KORAN is the only holy book that shows you the right way of life
i live every min of my life obeying Koran and doing what prophet Mohammad did and i live the happiest life ever
i mean enough that Koran well lead u to the truth.truth well lead you to Islam.Islam well lead you to god"Allah".Allah well take u to heaven
i mean god challenged people from thousands od years to write words as Koran and they couldn't.they fail..and until now no one can right as KORAN and no one well

I have heard it has a poetic ring to it in the original Arabic the lilt of which is untranslatable so otherwise you are right.
