I had braces, and for the first few days your mouth is sore, but it goes away. You should eat soft foods that don't require much chewing. If you get your braces tightened it will also hurt a bit. But your mouth may be used to everything because you already have spacers. It's different for everyone. Good luck!

Well the brackets will feel weird when you first get your braces put on because your gums won't be used to having something rubbing against it. They might be scraping your gums a little, so be sure to use wax to put on them. (ask your orthodontist for some) Well... braces can be pretty painful when you first get them on, but they aren't bad after that. The only other time it hurts is when you get a new wire and maybe your first tightening or two. Hope this helps!

Yes, it hurts. Almost no one has a perfect set of teeth (especially regarding alignment and bite) and putting on a metal set to force your teeth into some new position will move bone from bone (teeth are bones attached to bones), just imagine. If your dentist is lazy (and most dentists are) he will make further adjustments gradual so it would only hurt the first time. I wasn't able to eat solid food for about four days so pack it in the day before. I have it myself but don't be so apprehensive, it's not that painful. It also helps if someone embarasses you about how it's not a big deal. It makes a lot of the pain bearable because most of it is in your head. A good tip: I kept pressing my tongue against my teeth and it dulled out the pain. Good luck!

Yes it will feel the same way, but you will get used to the pain. It's the tension of your teeth being pulled in line. Just remember the it will be worth it once your teeth are fixed. I don't regret my years with braces at all, my mouth was a mess, and now it looks fantastic. The orthodontist even took pictures for a paper he was writing (Thats how bad my teeth were) Just make sure you wear your retainer after the braces eventually come off. I didn't and one of my teeth moved back out of alignment, but not dramatically so. I just wish I stuck to wearing my retainer.
Teeth don't fix themselves, and when your older (Assuming you're young) you will really appreciate having straight teeth.

You will have pain and discomfort after the braces are on. You'll adjust quickly. Sorry you had to get spacers; my orthodontist doesn't use spacers or band teeth. Good luck!

yes, they hurt.
i think the spacers hurt more than the braces.
at first they hurt, and you think itll never go away and it feels like the end of the world, lol., but it will EVENTUALLY get better little by little. in some cases it might not hurt. a friend of mine's didnt hurt at all. but hey, no pain, no gain.
good luck!

when i had my braces on it did not hurt at all... that was for the first day but after that i feel the sore in my mouth and I can't bite anything... as if all my teeth would fall out... sometimes your teeth will ache... or sometimes the wires of your braces would not go in place causing it to cut the sides of your inside mouth... thrush can also be present... but as time goes by you would feel comfortable wearing the braces as if its already part of your dental anatomy... those things are only based on my personal experience... hehe... =D
