If you are old enough to be in a mature relationship, you are old enough to take responsibility and accountability for your actions. With that said, being an adult requires you to do adult things. Just be honest, but say it with diplomacy and tact. After all, you are dealing with human emotions. You get more points for behaving as an adult.

Sure, if we are talking about Lassie...thats ALWAYS what happens to Lassie isn't it? Timmy goes "Get out of here you stupid dog! I hate you! Don't you get it?! Nobody love you you dumb old dog!" to chase her away when somebody is coming thats going to hurt her.
But, we are talking about a person and a whole other type of love I guess. so the answer is a resounding: NO!
Who are you to choose whats good for them? and maybe the person loves you to such an extent that anything would be worth holding your heart next to his. If you love someone, and they love you..embrace it. Let fate take it's course...will it last forever? I don't know..but its something you can find out together..and the time in between finding out, will be memories you can both share in your hearts.

No, would be honest enough to tell them why I was backing off. Why would you treat someone badly for no reason...sounds like a childish game. Be mature and talk to him face to face.

No. But I wouldn't think I was no good for them either. I think someone who thinks that about themself has serious self-esteem issues. I also think if you love the person, you need to talk to them honestly about how you are feeling. Communication is extremely important.

i'd be negative, but not knock them, or be bad to them.
why you wanna leave em with bad memories?
may as well tell them your half into them, but they aint right for you. or you love em like a brother.
