please help me to place my sister into a safe and warm living arrangements. she can afford very little but either way presently she is broke until the third of december.

Well the best place to call would be Social Services. In my state they will place you in a Motel and give you a voucher for a couple of weeks. If they do not have the funds they will tell you some shelters to go too. A shelter isn't like those ones you see on TV. Alot of them are like an apartment building. Also go to some Apartment complexes and see if they offer Apartments that are based on your income or ask them if they have there own section 8 program, call HUD and get an appointment to see if you would be liable to receive section 8 from them. But the easiest way is to apply through an apartment complex. Good Luck!

if its only a month - can't she stay with you? The only emergency housing is usually a shelter - not good for kids.

try dept of children and families if an emergency they can help .you cannot house her until then??
