I have been getting as many as 5 calls per day. When I answer there is no one on that end. I have tried calling them, but their number, 914-579-8157 apparently is blocked.
I have National "Do Not Call".

this number is a caller ID spoofing number, it just will ring and ring....so you gotta call your phone provider and have it blocked, because it will never stop!

If the caller ID was spoofed, you would not know what number to have your telco block. Before the Do Not Call Registry, this technique eliminated most of my telemarketing calls:
When the phone rings, answer it, say hello. Then put the receiver on the table (don't hang up). After awhile, see if the caller has hung up - you will hear dial tone. What this does is waste the telemarketers' time by having a human come on the line and talk to no one. They eliminate you from their call list.

Call your local phone company and have it blocked. Also, report the abuse to the consumer protection agency. Good luck.

You can buy a telezapper, I believe Wal-mart sells them. They are supposed to block most telemarketers.
