I have to go with tap water. Some mineral water's are good, but not always. I like some tap water, i just dont like the one they have in London, it tastes as if it has just been cleaned out but not cleaned out thoroughly. Which one do you prefer most? Tap water? Or mineral water?
Have a nice day!

I live in England, Birmingham, and the tap water is good, people say it's from the mountains in Wales.

Fortunately I don't have to drink either as I live in the Highlands and the best water in the world comes off the mountains and into the taps. However, I still put it through my filtered water chiller machine. Fantastic. It's all I drink all day. I think buying bottled water is the ultimate waste of money unless you live in the south of England where the water in the taps has been through the human body about ten times - yuk!

Honestly, I do not think the difference can be tasted. Water after all is supposed to be tasteless (if it is not, it cannot fully be called water). As for mineral verses tap water!! What’s’ to say that one is not the other!? See what I mean! There once was this episode of “Penn and Tell” where they placed water from an garden hose into a expensive bottle and sold it for $10 and asked people to compare the difference between that and a cheap bottle (also filled with the same garden hose). And you know who got the most vote here….. the expensive one! Goes to show, there is even a market for ripping people off with just plain old simple water!

I know its bad but I prefer mineral water, where I live the water from the tap has all white floaty bits in it & tastes disgusting, not even one of those water filter jugs makes much different to the taste. If it tasted better I wouldn't have a problem with drinking it.
Its probably because I live in Essex & the water comes from Mersea or the Thames!

I'm lucky to live in a place (Melbourne, Australia) with superior drinking tap water. I would never waste my money on high priced bottled water.
PS- They did a test on a show once and served tap water to water 'experts' (People that sample bottled waters like some people do with wine) and 9 of the 10 expert tasters did not even notice, and said it was superior, smooth, expensive bottled water they were drinking, rather than tap water that came out of the hose outside of the venue :P. Just goes to show...

We don't have good tap water here where I live in the
Ohio Valley section of the United States. I'd rather have
the mineral water than drink the terrible water here.

I like tap water, but it has to be filtered. And even if you buy water when on the go it should say filtered. There are bottled waters that have high arsenic levels and here in the US regulations are different for tap water and bottle water quality. Check out this site about healthy drinking water.

I like tap water, but I don't like it from other places - I think you get used to the taste of the water where you live so you like others less.

I live in a semi rural area of Scotland and our tap water is fab but a friend lives in an area where she is close to the water treatment plane and her tap water is foul as it tastes very strongly of chlorine - her local community is up in arms about it.
