If a bone (fish or any other) punctures the esophageus, stomach, or intestine, then there is the possibility of infection. However, if all you have done is swallow a bit of bone and it's not causing any physical damage, chances are good that you will either digest it (if it's thin like a fish bone) or pass it through your gut. If you're worried, or if you have an unexplained fever that might have come from an internal puncture, contact your doctor, or go to the emergency room.

The only way you can die from swallowing a fish bone if it got lodged in your throat. And ususally eating a piece of bread would take that out. But as far as I know there hasn't been any cases of death for swallowing a fish bone. Your stomach acid will dissolve it and you shouldn't have a problem at all. I know. because I fish, clean them and eat them. So please don't be discouraged from eating any more fish. Just watch for the bones and eat bread with it.

Only if you end up choking on it. I bet people swallow fish bones all the time. I guess there is a small chance they could puncture your intestines or something, but really, if you don't choke on it when it goes down, you should be fine.

If the body doesn't break down the fish bones , yes I think it could puncture and intestine. Talk to your Dr. or go to mamashealth.com maybe they can answer you question there.

Only if the bone gets stuck in the throat, could you choke to death.
If it manages to get into the stomach, don't worry as the stomach acids will rapidly reduce the fish bone to mush and then be digested.
If you ain't choking, don't worry.

Could be in extreme cases. Usually it will not. If it goes beyond your throat may be your doctor recommends you to eat high volume producing foods so that it is not stuck somewhere in your system. Anyway the best thing to do is to ask a doctor in medicine.
