John 11:35. "Jesus wept." It is the shortest verse in the Bible, but it speaks volumes about the humanity of Christ.

If you're looking for cry as in weeping, then John 11:35 tells us that Jesus wept in compassion with Mary & Martha, the sisters of Lazarus who had died 4 days previously.
If you're looking for cry as in cry out or shout, then John 11:43 tells us that Jesus cried out to Lazarus and he was raised from the dead and walked out of the cave that he had been buried in.
He also cried out with a loud voice from the cross saying Eloi, Eloi, lama sabacthani, which is the opening line or title from Psalm 22, which graphically describes His crucifixion. Effectively, He was saying to all those who were watching the crucifixion that they were witnessing the Psalm 22 situation, and that the prophecy was being fulfilled in their sight. (Matthew 27:46 & Mark 15:34)
p.s. I know that this is sad, but Job 3:2 (NIV) is shorter than John 11:35; still 2 words, but 6 letters instead of 9. Sorry!
