while it is true, most mrsa cases are caught in hospitals, not all cases are caught there. MRSA is a common bacteria found on skin/nose of healthy people. It can enter a body through a break in the skin(sores, cuts, surgical wounds ,etc) and cause infection. Some normal people walking around everyday has this and is not affected,But at the same time an indirect contact( infected person sneezing/does not wipe hands:they touch door handle. Now mrsa can be on handle. Someone with cut/sore/open wound
uses door handle, they touch there wound and guess what? THE most important thing to do is WASH HANDS and keep them away from open wounds if they are dirty,

MRSA can either be clinically born or community born.
In the past 4 or so years, community born bacteria has developed at a greater increase. Especially in warmer areas ie: CA, FL,AR. I've noticed a greater increase of MRSA in IN as well.
Certain companies are working on the antidote to fully cure MRSA. Check with your Dr. and have her take what he / she prescribes. It's an aiborn bacteria that is impermiable at this time.
All will be well as long as she is healthy.
Good luck!

MRSA.can be caught about anywhere that people go or use.Kids are very easily infected because they are still building the immune system to fight crap like that.,plus they are touching everything ,exploring as you must know. The good sense is wash the hands constantly, and stay away from dirty people. It is good to keep some purell around or alcohol wipes.Staph is everywhere like the nose, kids pick their noses, they touch things then so do other kids.Don't get me wrong grown ups are the main reason of infection because most are nasty also.Best bet be paranoid and stay sanitized.

Any kind of cut that gets infected with the staph bacteria is called a staph infection. It isn't the actual wound or the cause of it that labels it as 'staph', it's the kind of bacteria or virus that infects the wound that labels it 'staph'.

mrsa is everywhere its just normally our bodies defences are strong enough to fight it off. the reason it is associated with hospitals is because it can easily infect people after operations because there body defences are down maybe the girl was just gettin over a cold and her bodily defences were down?

This is in question because of the sterilization of the areas. It's prevalent where areas are highly sanitized, it allows the bacteria to flourish, over sanitizing?
