If both people are into it, no it's not bad in the least. It's only a bad thing when one is being rough without the others consent and full cooperation.

Some girls do like things to get a little rough.
Often its concensual (spelling?) and both partners know where the limit is. Now we're getting into this whole BDS&M area...
I personally could never bring myself to be rough with a girl. I think its disrespectful, wrong and a form of abuse.
There again if things in the bedroom start getting a bit hot and heavy and both parties are going at things pretty hard- then all sorts can happen I guess.
So in answer to your question- its entirely up to the girl and the situation at hand.

Rough sex with someone you respect can be a very sexy and passionate thing to do.
You should discuss it with your partner how she feels about rough sex before you try it.
There is a fine line between rough, and TOO rough... just talk to your partner and see what works for you both.
Rough sex does not mean that you dont care about her...sometimes rough sex can be more satisfying then boring old slow "love making" sex

If you arnt enjoying the sex when its rough, and if you have made it clear to him that you dont want it that way and he keeps doing it that way then he is not considering your feelings. Possibly even scarring you mentally. I personally love it rough and my fiance loves it that way too, so we are in agreement. I think if I didnt like it that way and he persisted to be rough then I would feel so violated and think that whats going on is bad. If you tell him you dont like it, he should respect that and change, otherwise you need to move on or you'll always have issues with this.

It really depends if he is always rough and doesn't care for the women's needs and pleasure than I'd say he doesn't care and has no respect for the women.
