*** i'd definately look at it closer. u don't usually get gut feelings for nothing. why don't u let him prove that he's not...usually people don't have a problem w/ that unless they ARE lying.

Try to start up a conversation with other people within his circle of friends that might know the answers to your doubts. Ask subtle questions that won't raise any suspicions if you can and see what you learn from these conversations. If you are clever enough, people will tell you what you need to know without realizing that they just spilled the beans. Or, you could try to confront the person involved, saying that you have been hearing other people whispering behind your back when they didn't think you were listening and you'd like to know what's going on.
