Hi friends, I already know that once I post this question my ratings will plunge downwards. But I need to ask for your suggestions.

I met this beautiful girl some 6 years ago. I saw her and fell in love. After that we have never met. I don't even know who she is.
But I know I am in love. Now after so many years I came across someone who is a lot like her. I am not 100 % sure whether this is the same person I met 6 years ago. I am hesitating to ask for these details since I am not certain this is the same person. What if she turns out to be someone else ? If I ask her about the events of 6 years ago and she is a different person then she will find it odd and will get ideas about me.

What should I do ?

Dearest Smartie, No offense but how can u truly fall in love with someone u dont know?? In my experience, it takes a lot to fall in love, because getting to know someone takes time otherwise aren't u just in "lust" not love?
If I was u I would ask her a few poignant questions, subtle ones that wont blow your cover... good luck, Smartie, I like u.....

You're thinking too hard. I don't see any harm in discretely telling her a story about someone you met 6 years ago. Yo don't have to necessarily blurt out that it must have been her you met 6 years ago. At the end of what you have to tell her just slip in...."You have a lot of resemblance with that girl i met 6 years ago." The worst that can happen is she'll tell you that she isn't.

Man .... you have the perfect excuse to walk up and start talking to her ... begin with ... aren't you the girl I saw 6 years ago at ......
if she is she'll say yes and if she's not you can look all amazed and tell her how much she looks like the other girl ... then ask her if she'd like a coffee or something
Go get her Tiger

oh my god, this is a very odd situation! you cant remember if its her or not after only 6 years??? well, just try to get closer to her, and ask indirect questions. give yourself a chance to know her for who she is, after all you might like her and fall in love. I think you are not in love with that history girl...it is just that you dont have her you want her. life goes on, get over it and live ur life.

This one might be even better, and the one form 6 years ago might have piled on the pounds and let herself go a little.

Dont mention the previous one and go for this one!

Do not let the girl know that you sre suggesting something and go and ask her as if she looks like your old friend. Casually ask her, "Are you _______?" (if you know her name OR "Excuse me, have you ever been to _________?" (name of the place where you met). If she just says "No" with no signs of recognition, just say "I am sorry. I mistook you for someone else. Sorry again." and just move away.

There are questions that can be asked to find out if she's the one without revealing all of your past feelings. Let her know your feelings within a weeks time though or you'll lose her.

Ask her. She will not think bad of you. You dont have to give all the details babe. You may find something more in her you didnt see before. Good luck.

I wouldn't say anything to her about it just yet. Maybe as you get to know her more, you might get clues that she is in fact the same person.

well i think you should have to ask her that question. it will be better then you just ask it to yourself, because you won't get the right answer. and if she think you just odd, let it be, because the most important thing you know the real.
