If you live in an apartment, but like big dogs, greyhounds make excellent apartment dogs. They are surprisingly low energy dogs, most don't bark and are minimal shedders.

They have very gentle temperments, and are easy to handle and very affectionate.

Hope you will consider a grey, as so many of these wonderful dogs need homes.

Best of luck in your research!

that doesnt sound like a very good combination, it would seem
rather cruel to keep a large active dog in an apartment, why dont
you consider something else until you can get a house with a yard where the Plott would be happier?

This is a rather large breed of dog and has a pretty high energy level and needs to run and hunt. Apartments really are more suited for smaller dogs with little energy.

It will live in the apartment for a short time, until you are evicted. But maybe you will get lucky and have neighbors who enjoy a howling dog.

If you make sure to walk it and let it run everyday, then it should be OK,but it's really important to exercise it,or it could become destructive.Obedience classes will help as well, and a lot of toys to keep it occupied.
