My solution is to cut off any and all government assistance, immediately to anyone who can't prove citizenship and that includes any child born to a non-citizen. When they can't live off our bounty, they will deport themselves.

The United States is being invaded across our southern border. Ranches, border towns and public lands are being overrun as danger escalates. Millions of illegal aliens and drug runners have entered into our nation because, while protecting the borders of countries half way around the world, the most powerful nation on earth lacks the political will to protect our own borders. Neither of the two major political parties care about the future of our country. Republican constituents profit from the cheap labor that illegal immigration brings. Democrats seek to bolster their party with votes from the immigrant bloc. Even though poll after poll shows the vast majority of Americans want their borders protected, Congress refuses to adequately address the illegal immigration invasion and to adequately fund measures to protect our border.
Until the American people stand up as one and demand action and accountability from the elected officials, nothing of any consequences will be done.
We the people must act now in order to save our nation from the bleeding heart liberals that have all the concern in the world for everyone but this nation and its legal citizens. The time has come to think only of this nation and the legal tax paying, hard working ,USA loving citizens. My compassion is for my own country and its own people.Stand up Americans tell the country what you want done about illegal aliens and drug smugglers.
DEMAND ACTION NOW! Demand that the federal government enforces its laws and with zero tolerance and no thought of a blanket amnesty for any one from any country.Arrest the officers of the companys that hire illegal aliens, show them the law is the law.Take away the lure of employment and that helps stop the illegal.

Call the Office of Border Patrol in Washington D.C. and tell Chief David V. Aguilar to allow his agents to do their jobs. Right now these agents have their hands tied behind their backs. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't. With the way that Agents are treated by their own agency it is no wonder that they have such a difficult time getting people to apply, and a more difficult time getting them to stay once they are hired. Call 202-344-2050. Also call you Representative in Washington and tell them that you are tired of the invasion.

That is easy, just enforse the laws that already exist. I would go after the employers, I would arrest and put the people in jail that do the hiring, I would fine the company's that have illegal aliens working for them enough so that they knew it was wrong to do so. I think this would solve the problem. NO WORK = NO MONEY= NO REASON TO BE HERE.

I'm not an American - I'm from Brazil - and I used to go to College in Tennessee. After I graduated I returned home and I usually travel to the US on business or to see the good friends I left there.
So, I'm not interested, by any means, to cross the border of Mexico to live the American Dream.
I can do it legally trough the immigration service.
But, I would like to address the issue of illegal immigration from another perspective: the demand issue.
There's a tremendous quantity of job in the United States of America that are not going to be taken by Americans. Businessmen that operate in sectors that are heavily intense in man-force need to contract immigrant from other countries in order to increase their margins and serve the custommers with a competitive price.
It's business! We are not talking about an attempt to reduce poverty in Mexico or any other country in the world, by bringing people to live and work in the US!
The immigration law allows workers from other countries to come to the US to work. But guess what? Only high-qualified workers can apply to it and get a nice job.
That kind of immigration - from an american middle class perspective - harms very good jobs that, otherwise, would be occupied by an american citizen.
Workers with low qualification - and it's incredible how policy makers cannot understand that - usually have to go trough the borders or get into the US with a non-immigrant status (Student Visa, Tourist Visa or Business Visa).
Globalization is going to change that. As other countries develop - specially the BRIC's (Brazil, Russia, India and China) - the interest of immigrating to the US will dramatically reduce.
An alert to policy markers: the jobs will immigrate if people are not able to come to the US to work.
The impact in the economy will be tremendous. Lawrence Summers - US Treasury secretary during the Bill Clinton Administration - wrote an article about it few weeks ago and talks about a very clear change in the work-force in the world: jobs positions are leaving the US faster than ever.
Would you contract an american to work in computers for US$ 80.000 a year (at the lowest) or would you go for an Indian that works for incredibles US$ 2.000 a month? Ask Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Steve Jobs and so many other businessmen to have the proper answer.
That's a fantastic package: the professional stays home (and believe me, people prefer to work in their own country if they are allowed to), the country delevops (because the salary it's above the national income) and an econmic boost is ready to begin.
So, in order to stay competitive the US has to tackle that issue or jobs will immigrate.
There are no easy answer to the immigration problem. One thing is certain - as Peter Druker used to say: "The impact of immigration in the world economy will be the next big thing in the political agenda".
Let's just hope politics take it seriously and leave ideology aside.

well, we cannot do anything until we get more people on the border. More Mexican and American authorities need to be there.
we need to build the fence, which sould have been done a long time ago
we need to ABOLISH the temporary worker program, so many people overstay their visas now.
We need to make the country hell for the illegals, NO HEALTHCARE, NO EDUCATION, NO WELFARE, NO FOOD STAMPS, NO PLACE TO LIVE, but the government is to P**** to do that

Write your representation, and tell them you want the laws enforced, and the US/Mexico border fence constructed. The sooner the rest of the world knows that we take our immigration laws seriously, the sooner they'll stop being abused.

1. Build a wall approximately 1/2 mile inside the US border, position troops along the wall. Shoot anyone who approaches.
2. Round up all the criminals (illegals) already in the US and deport them, informing them they will be shot on sight if they try to enter illegally again.
