Average fit adult human usually walks 4-5 mph on the flat, unencumbered

If you just started that's not all that bad of a time but if you think about if a 15 minute mile isn't something you should be bragging about. A good time would be between 15-20 minutes which is a 7-10 minute mile which is good for an average fit person. Hope this helps. When I run two and a half miles I get about 20-25 minutes which is in the 10 minute mile range.

I can usually walk two miles in 40 minutes, and I'm short, so you may be able to walk it faster than me :-)
