My god is nature and evolution, the big bang that created the world, was a scientific phenomenon, after that a single cell creature, the amoeba turned into a 2 cell creature and so on, until dinosaurs apes and finally man walked the earth. We have only been as we are today a few hundred thousand years. If the earth survives a million years, we wont exist, a far higher, or possibly lower form of life will roam the earth. Who exactly are they going to blame it on, it wont/cant be god as he is blamed for our race.

I don't really believe in 'God', and while nominally 'Anglican/Lutheran' (my parents religion), I tend towards Agnostic and Aetheism. (Throw in some 'Science' and rational thought too...)
My best explanation for 'why' is this. While I believe that there is ALWAYS something bigger and beyond our understanding, we as people can only make our best guess on what we know - but we don't know everything. Humans are fallible, and institutionalised religions have a bad habit of trying to cover up 'facts' and information they don't want to admit to or that may destabilise their power base. A 'person' is capable of great things - tolerance, understanding, compassion - but 'people' have committed irrational and cruel deeds in the name of 'Faith' at the encouragement of those who have been charged with their 'spiritual' well-being and care. I just don't buy into that hypocrisy, and don't see reason to support the modern equavelents when they cannot reconcile the actions of the past.
For some, religion has a place and can offer support and solace, and I can respect anyone who has chosen to live like that - and I hope they respect my point of view. I embrace thoughtful discussion - after all, I'm not trying to live your life, and don't need to convince you about how I'm living mine. I do get impatient with people who deal in absolutes, particularly when the world has a lot of grey areas. Hopefully, I will learn more as I go...

I was brought up catholic and felt it was very stiffling, when I was older I became protestant but it never really satisfied my need for knowledge, the fact that questioning anything is tabbo, I stopped going to church and followed my heart which led me to Paganism. It isn't evil, there is no devil worship as I do not acknowledge him - he is part of christianity.
While I was a christian I read the bible endlessly trying to find the answers I needed.
Paganism is thousands upon thousands of years old. It is rooted to the earth that is sacred.
I follow the Germanic religion of Odinism, under the umbrella of Heathenry, the principles of it are - care for your family and that includes close friends, respect your elders as they are wiser than you, honor your ancestors (This is what we do on halloween or Samhain as it is really called) enjoy life as it is a gift from the Gods and it is short, care for the earth as she feeds us. They are not rules that we must follow or suffer a gods wrath, but guidelines that most Pagans try to incorporate.
The Pagan religions are peaceful earth religions, if people actually look into it instead of listening to propaganda then they will see exactly what I have said is true.
I do not hate christians as I have friends who are, I just do not appreciate it when they get in my face telling me I am evil and going to hell etc. I do not claim that my religion is the one true faith as some others do, it is right for me and is not evil in any way. When was the last time you heard about a Pagan religious crusade or a Pagan killing in the name of one his Gods?
The principles of Heathenry

I believe in God. The only God in the universe.
The God in the Bible. His love for us. His sorrow for us. His forgiveness for us. His Love and Grace.
I have studied the Bible on many levels; as a christian, as a historian, to find it's authenticity, to see if it was true etc;
Nothing in the Bible has ever been proven by science to be incorrect. Historians of all religious backgrounds agree that the Bible is our oldest most accurate source of historical writings.
On a spiritual level all the principles that Jesus teaches us in the Bible are not "rules" for a ticket to Heaven. They are a way of life in which you need to live to live long and peacefully.
I could rave on forever a good science evidence site for Biblical truth like Noah and Adam and Eve is answersingenesis.com
There is no other God, I feel you already think this too maybe you want concrete evidence. Search with Faith that God will show you the right direction and you will find Him.
God Bless.

NO. These tales where invented in order to control people, leaving them unthinking servants to the preachers. It is sad in this more enlightened age that some people still allow themselves to be governed by such superstitious twaddle.

No. Like Laplace said to Napoleon, I have no need of that hypothesis!
There is no shred of evidence for the existence of such an entity, and it's existence does not need to postulated to explain the universe as observed. Additionally, sacred texts describing gods, such as the bible, are so patently ridiculous that they effectively promote disbelief!

Yes I do and therefore I follow the religion of God as only God had a clear vision about having a good everlasting life as what was told about heaven in the day after.

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd

Yes I am a Christian. I believe in Jesus and God and the Holy Spirit. They offer hope in a hopeless world. They make my life complete--there was a void before. I was searching for something until I became a Christian. Now I am pursuing a relationship with Jesus.
