Hi,
Great post! Quitting smoking was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, and I thought I wasn't addicted!
Here's what I tried before finding success: hypnosis, those fake cigaretts, the nicotine patch, and group therapy....none worked.
I finally tried this HERBAL patch I bought 6 months ago on the net. They claim a 97% success rate. Well, it worked! They had a sweet deal which was a free 10 day trial for only $3.95 including shipping (it's regularly $53 for 10 days)!!
I don't know if they still have that deal, but it's worth a try.

Good Luck

The best way is to spend a month at Birmingham New Street Railway Station.
As the frequent tannoy announcements keep reminding you, "smoking is not permitted anywhere on the station".

cold turkey give yourself some mental debriefing cause the mainstay of addition is the false positive patterning in your brain !
I quit after thirty years of smoking and the nicotine patch the nicorette gum and the cigarettes are all Bovine Fecal Matter !
It's been 7 years smoke free and now I can even catch my breath without coughing.... i did go through a couple years of cough drops ....

Mind over body! Get up one morning and say "That's it. Henceforth, I shall smoke no more," then try hard and adopt that attitude for the duration of your struggle against smoking. What's more free than that and furthermore, It's been known to work for those with the will strength. Also remind yourself that you keep smoking, and you will be no more....That worked for my father.
Good luck

Just quit cold turkey!!! If it's a habit thing for you, try playing with a straw so you have something to fidget with. If it's needing something in your mouth, try picking up some jawbreakers or something like that. You just have to break the habit. It won't be easy, but it can be done. Good luck!

Cold Turkey. When you get the urge to smoke, just pop in a piece of hard candy or a sucker, it will help destract you. Drink plenty of water so it will "flush" the toxins out of your body.

It's called Cold Turkey and I did it 2 and a half years ago. It's the cheapest and most permanent way.

Cold turkey. Some people substitute chewing gum and hard candy for the cigarettes.

if you feel like starving to smoke... just put salt in your tounge... doing this would make you forget the urge of smoking.... and... try to keep yourself busy with other things... this could help you forget smoking mentally...
