I was just wondering why so many girls go out with jerks. I mean what is it that attracts you to them. And also why is it that some girls even when they find out they are jerks stay with them.

Girls have a real knack for being able to point out a jerk a mile away. We can tell if our best friend is dating someone not worth keeping. However, when it comes to ourselves, we are blinded by a few annoying - yet strong - factors:
1. Attraction - generally, these jerks are attractive and good old mother nature makes us interested in these "jerks"
2. Charm - chat up lines and compliments can make a woman with low self esteem ready to say "I do" at the alter.
3. Deception - Many jerks are called jerks because they deceive. Who in their right mind would go around saying "Yeah watch out for me, I'm a jerk"
This is why girls go out with jerks. But the question remains, "Why do they stay with these Jerks even when they find out?" The answer is not so simple.
Every woman is different, for some, it's not a big deal, as long as they've got someone to call them "Boyfriend" they're happy.
Others stay with them because they don't want to be a "bad person" and break up with them. These are the real softies.
Many women just stay with them because they think that they can make these jerks change.
There are countless reasons and each one is unique to every girl who has been in this situation. The best thing to do is prevent your female friends from making a wrong decision and dating a "jerk" and focussing on not being one yourself.

A REAL JERK
This guy enters a bar located at the top of the Empire State Building in New York. It looked like a nice place and he then takes a seat at the bar next to another guy. "This is a nice place, I've never been here before," the first guy says.
"Oh really," the other replies, "it's also a very special bar."
"Why is that?" the first guy asks.
"Well, you see that painting on the far wall? That's an original Van Gough, and this stool I'm sitting on was on the Titanic."
"Gee, that's amazing!" the first guy says.
"Not only that, but you see that window over there, fourth from the right? Well, the wind does strange things outside that window. If you jump out, you'll fall about 50 feet before the wind catches you and you're pushed back up."
"No way, that's impossible," the first guy replies.
"Not at all, take a look," the other man replies and walks over to the window, followed closely by the first man. He opens the window, climbs over the sill and falls out. He drops 10...20...30...40...50 feet, comes to a stop, and whoosh! He comes right back up and sails back through the window.
"See, it's fun. You should try it!" he says.
"Try it? I don't even believe I saw it!" the first man shouts.
"It's easy. Watch, I'll do it again." And with that, he falls out the window, again. He drops 10...20...30...40...50 feet, comes to a stop, and whoosh!...he comes right back up and sails back through the window.
"Go ahead, give it a try, it's a blast!" he says.
"Well, what the heck, OK...I'll give it a try," the first man says and proceeds to fall out the window. He falls 10...20...30...40...50...100... 200...300...500...1000 feet and SPLAT!!!!... ends up as road pizza on the sidewalk below.
After calmly watching the first man fall to his death, the other guy casually closes the window and heads back to the bar and orders another drink.
The bartender arrives with the drink and says, "You know, Superman, you're a real jerk when you're drunk!"

Because the men don't turn into jerks until you have started dating then sometimes its too hard to get rid of them.Also sometimes the woman doesn't realise that her partner is a jerk,they are blinded by love.That's why I stay single it's so much better than having to put up with some of the mans stupidity

I know that I've never been out with a jerk. However those girls that do only find out much later that they are and for some reason will stay in th relationship because they are blinded by love, they don't think that they deserve better or just deal with his rubbish because they just do

Most girls don't see a man is a jerk till there have been out with them a while by then i think some girls don't no how to get ride of them.

For most girls, they seem to be attracted to the jerks because they are usually the "bad Boys". Why they stay with them is beyond me.....maybe the excitement that sometimes comes with the bad boy image..... I don't really know.

not all girls know what the guy is like before they go out with them. there are some ladies out there who don't think they deserve anyone else.
sounds to me like you like someone and she is seeing someone who is not good to her and messes around behind her back. Telling her how you feel may push her away. Girls don't like being told they have made a mistake in their choice of man.
Best to sit it out. Hopefully she will realise that he is a jerk and leave. Cannot guarantee she will still come to you tho. Just be a friend in to her because she may need one.

hey dude, dont be too judgemental. =)
u might just dont know how these ppl connect..
there r lots a reasons y ppl get into relationships..
maybe they appear jerks to u, (u may not even know if they just act that way to u), but u dont really know whatt's happenin whenever these so called jerks of yours relate to the girls during their times together. (wink !)
and one thing dude, it doesnt really matter how jerk a person is, just as long as that jerk makes u feel happy, cmftbl to be with, respected, and important.

Jerks are quite good at disguising themselves, at least for the first 2 or 3 dates.
But the truth will out and eventually they will be DUMPED.

i have asked myself that same question many a time!
i think us girls are attracted to the confident bad lad and then expect them to change once we ger together of course they wont.
we dont go with (some) nice guys as they are boring at first but them once you get to know them they treat u like a princess.
it is a very complicated world and i wish i could find a nice guy but who is fun to be around to, im sure there are plenty out there im juts not looking in the right places
