Good point CM, the dems are notoriously weak on issues like enforcement, historically pretty liberal.

I support the U.S government's crackdown on the illegal immigration because the American values and culture will be corrupted by the illegal immigration.

Of course I support enforcement of all our immigration laws. They must be enforced in order to keep this country terrorist free. But after reading this below I wonder how this is going to be achieved, when the government is hand cuffing our law enforcement agents.the Border Patrol.

The National Border Patrol Council is the labor organization that represents all 10,000 non-supervisory U.S. Border Patrol employees. Under current civil service law, its representatives are free to speak openly about matters of public concern, including illegal immigration. However, this freedom could be severely restrained or even extinguished under the Homeland Security Act, which granted broad authority to high-level bureaucrats to set up new personnel rules for all employees within the new Department. Should this occur, the public will lose the most authoritative and honest voice on immigration issues – that of the dedicated men and women who enforce our Nation’s immigration laws 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

President George Bush outlined his proposals for immigration law reform. The National Border Patrol Council finds his proposal to be a slap in the face to each and every man and woman who has ever worn the Border Patrol uniform. Border Patrol Agents risk their lives on a daily basis protecting the citizens of the United States, and many have lost their lives doing so. The President has apparently decided that cheap labor and votes outweigh obedience to laws and the sacrifices of dedicated law enforcement officers.

This can not happen, all legal Americans must let your views on this be known to your government ,and you need to do it today.Write,call,E-mail and fax the men and women that are in Washington for you, remind then that they work for the American people. They seem to have forgotten.

nicely that would count on the way of enforcement. If it is to keep drugs out, then there replaced into not some thing incorrect with the device in position earlier. If we are speaking terrorism right here then possibly we could continually look to canada as a results of the indisputable fact that is the position they got here through initially. so a techniques as l. a. linea's worried, i'm with my human beings. the single's who honestly have self assurance that this continues to be the land of the loose. the single's who fairly do not take freedom with none interest. the single's for whom freedom isn't really a note... ¡sí se puede!

Cant enforce laws when border patrol gets fired for going after drug runners, but get a medal for looking the other way when people pay off the border Patrol. Enforcement does not work without guest worker reforms, borrow the Mexican immigration, along with the Australian one. We allow one million in each year, and only about 40,000 supposed to be allowed in from Mexico we were smoking crack when LBJ made the reforms in 1965. Each time the border become tighter Mexico economy will grow faster to keep up with the pay rates of the coyotes, and pay off the border patrol. Its the chicken and coyotes for the last 150 years. Deport 12 million and 9 million come back, and with better fake documents. Ike deported 3 million of them in 1954 most returned a few years later. Mexico is like the countries we have quasi loop-pole when it comes to deportation. INS and border patrol usually will deport OTMs first because of the fact their more a security risk than a public nuisance. Mexican government know us better after UK, Canada to play the game with UNCLE SAM.

Yes -Who wants a government that doesn't look after the protection of its people and their dwellings I wonder. You would think they would want what is best for them.
We need order and laws that are enforced and followed in this matter. And we need to be consistent.

What is wrong with our immigration rules should be fixed until than not ignored.

Oh yeah. A little concept known as "securing our borders". Might come in handy next time some terrorists are on the way in. Would totally revitalize California's economy if all the illegal residents were suddenly beamed back to their native land.

Sure I support it. Breaking the law is breaking the law. If I was in their country illegally (which ever country that may be), I would be punished. But do you really think that the Democrats in office are actually going to allow these laws to be enforced? I seriously doubt it.

If you mean in the USA, yes, because it is my country.
Our border is open to enemies ! The first
part of immigration enforcement is to secure
our borders. We are at war, and having an
open border in time of war
is terrible ! What other country does not
guard its borders in a time of war ?

Of course! I believe if all of our laws were enforced we wouldnt be in the situation we are in when it comes to illegal immigration. Lot's can be done that would actually work, the question is will it be done?

Because a country cannot remain free if immigration rules are not enforced.
