I know some of the major factors affecting golfers to choose a certain club for playing: location of a course, maintenance of turf, sound management and service, fame of designer of the course, and so on. I want to know all the factors and their sequence of priority. thanks

Golf 20/20 did a study
Value and price is number one followed by playing with friends a lot of times the people you play with pick the course and close to the house was another reason chosen

I look for three things: how accessable is it (I'd rather not drive 3 hours to get to in if there is a decent course nearer), how much are the green fees (hey, I'm not made of money 30 bucks or so on a weekday sounds about tops) and how good is the course? I like a shortish, sporty, shot oriented course that is fun to play. 6200 yards is just about right for my game.

1. Location
2. Greens condition
3. Fairway Conditions
4. Course difficulty
5. Cost
6. How busy (crowded) is the course
7. Climate (too hot in summer, too cool in winter), too windy
8. Management

Price is most important to me, but I also want a good course. Oh, fewer people is nice.
