Anorexia is not about fat - it is about image; no matter how thin the anorexic is, they still feel FAT. If you fear fat, you mihgt consult a therapist who deals with anorexia and get an opinion.

Some of these answers just make me mad, especially the one from the MD! You are on the thin side, a bit underweight, even. Cirtaintly not fat! Clearly you are anorexic. One slice of bread is not nearly enough. There are very few vitamins in bread, so your body is probably struggling just to stay alive. It doesn't matter how much you weigh - eating so little at any weight is unhealthy. The guilt also indicates anorexia. You should be able to eat whatever you want without guilt. If you really think about it, feeling guilty over eating (something your body needs) is quite twisted (not that I'm saying you're twisted, just that it's twisted that you have to feel that way). Obesity does not happen over night! Very few people would be obese if they just followed their hunger cues and stopped when they were full. And shame on those people who told you to exercise more! What you need is 3 meals (and snacks) a day for full nutrition. You should eat a balance of fats, carbs, protiens, and fruit and veggies. Please talk to your mum about how you are feeling (epecially the guilt you are experiencing) and let her help you get back on track. You do have an ED (sorry!) but if you nip it in the bud you can get back to a healty, happy life.

Productive exercise is great. See if you can find up to 3 or 4 hours of physical labor per day, taking at least a day off every week. Try to stop worrying so much, and start eating more, but eat a high protein, low carb, low saturated fat diet with plenty of fiber and omega-3. Supplement with cal/mag/zinc pills, fish oil pills(to help with the omega-3), and Twinlab multivitamins.
Replace your hour walk with something else... walking is good as a stretch but an extreme cardiovascular workout has dramatic effects on health and of course calorie consumption. The new load of calories I'm suggesting will take some effort to burn off. So do something aerobic every few days, and on the other days learn yoga or practice with some free weights for half an hour. (Power yoga, or ashtanga yoga, would qualify for the aerobic day.) Build your legs with lunges and squats, and get your core muscles (abs and lower back) strong and proportionate. (backbends and forward bends in yoga will help you understand the core muscles)
whatever you do, get off of that crazy starvation diet thing. Your body will put some revenge weight on when you do. There is not enough protein in bread to go on. You need protein to build muscle, and do other stuff like stay alive.

Diagnoses are complex, it sounds like you are defiantly a profectionist or have a high standard for yourself which is not bad. However if you believe you look fat in the mirror and everyone else sees a skinny person then you have a body dimorphic disorder. A lot of people are afraid of being fat and that does not warrant an eating disorder. In reality you need to eat more! and see a doctor to get the best healthy weight for you and yet look good for you, please take a vitamin too.

you shouldn't be afraid of being fat and feel guilty because you eat. Food is one of the pleasures in life. Food doesn't make you fat, if you eat in moderation. Our bodies can't live with food. We are like a car. Can a car drive without pertol? No. Instead you will damage the car without petrol. But if the car has petrol, and it doesn't has to be FULL UP it will work. You are only 15 and need lots of vitamins and nutrieist food, like meat to think more and for red cells, milk for bones, folic acid ( which is found in fruits and vegetables, cereals, bread, ) for hair, nails. etc. and many many more. Are you getting your periods? That's another thing. Make sure you get your monthly period. Protect yourself for your future for when you want Babies. Its every womens wish. Trust me! Especially when you meet the right person.
We are what we eat. Our character and moods depends a lot on what we eat. When you eat, your mind works better and you are happier.
I am 5'5" and weight 133 pounds. I feel good and not fat. Accept yourself and don't care what the rest say about your weight. Think for yourself.
And please if you feel tired, don't stress your heart too much. Its not healthy. If you are going for a long walk, you need calories to burn, so that means that you have to eat a proper solid meal.
Besides, I have tried all the diets out there, when I was your age. I am talking from experience and I know exactly how you feel.
Honestly the best diet is to eat everything and in small portions and take vitamins if you need them.
For example: if this helps. I eat everything that means: beef, chicken, fish, pasta with red sauce, home made pizza, fruits and vegetables (including patatoes) cereals, milk, bread. I don't mean burgers, chocolates, pastries and fatty food.
Trust me you won't get fat with this food and especially if it is cooked with fats in moderation.
At your age you need at least 8 hours sleep.
Take it easy, go out and have fun with your friends and once a week treat yourself for an ice-cream or what you like. Once won't make you fat. The everyday fatty foods will.
Hope I have helped you.
Take care of yourself.

At 5'6 and 110 pounds, you are not fat. Ther is a syndrom in which a person can not tell when they are too thin. Your mother is right- you do need to eat more and I'm not going to tell you what to eat but I will say it sounds like you may be aneorexic and have a sense of low self worth. You need to seek professional help right away befor you become sicker. Please seek help right away. Take care

You sound like you have an eating disorder. You should see a psychologist. In the meantime, try to get a network of people who have the same problem so you can share your problem. You are not fat, but of course if you have an eating disorder you aren't going to believe what people say. I used to take appetite supressants to stay thin and at one point I weighed 100 pounds (which is not a lot for someone who is my height) and still thought I was fat. I also felt bad when I didn't exercise and I took laxatives when I couldn't get a prescription for the appetite suppressants. It was not healthy. I was constantly sick and my heart rate was accelerated. I had bad breath and a dry mouth. You should definitely seek help. I did and now I am not very thin (I weigh 145 pounds), but I am healthy and beautiful.

Yes, you should be concerned. Get with a dietician and discuss your food intake. You have to have the rights amounts of vitamins and nutrients to grow and develop. As long as you excercise and don't stuff you face with snacks every hour you'll be fine. Over eating and eating junk food and not excercising is how you gain weight. Good Luck, but please eat before you kill yourself.

No, your BMI (physique mass index) is 20.14, this is on the thin component. it is your fat proportion. The healthful selection is sixteen-25. The formulation is (your weight x 750) / (your top in inches squared)

I think above all, you're paranoid. Unless you have health issues or are obese with a severely extended stomach, I wouldn't worry about it. Take care!
