it has something to do with the wings. the wings of a plane are made in a manner that the air above the wings travel a longer path as compared to the air below the wings. due to this the air pressure above the wing is lower than the air pressure below the wing. thus giving the plane a lift. This principle also applies to the propeller of a helicopter and the spoiler of a car.

Airplane wings are curved on the top which make air move faster over the top of the wing. The air moves faster over the top of a wing. It moves slower underneath the wing. The slow air pushes up from below while the faster air pushes down from the top. This forces the wing to lift up into the air.

the velocity of the air on the top of the wing increases and the pressure decreases, while the velocity on the bottom is less and has a higher pressure. causing lift.

ok
when the top air pressure flows over the top it makes it push down lifting the front then the lower pressure blows up and makes more lift thats why you see planes when ur on one if u look at the end of the wings theirs these things called elevators that direct airflow thats wat makes it go up and down...thats long but ya

The engines produce thrust and the wings provide lift. Take away either and it wont fly. Hope I have been helpful.
