Dad ex RAF and I was born in Cyprus. Help! Where/who to ask for a copy? I work abroad and need web or email address for anyone who can help me as not in UK to chase up?

you can go on the Internet and order it pay by card and have it delivered you need the name of the registry office if not try contacting the British embassy you can do everything from the comfort of your own home good luck honey and have a happy marriage

My b/f had lost his when we went to register as well- the registary office gave him the address to write to- it has to be the council of the town in which you were born.

They will provide you with a duplicate.

go to http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/births/

and think the best thing to do is email them

this is the offical register office for England and you should be listed here as your dad was in British services.
they will be able to advise you

Ask your dad may be RAF registry office-if there is such thing.

you need to go to the local council and see the registrar they will provide you with a form to fill in. give as much detial as you can and they should be able to help

is there a registry of births deaths and marriages where you are from?
usually if you take suffiecient id with you, they can order you a new one

ask any hospital where to get your birth record, or vital statistics. ask the hospital you were born at if you can first.

you can do it on-line, just type in birth cirtificates it's about £25.00
