What's the problem with us taking care of our parents they took care of us.I once read a quote," ONE mother can care for ten children,But why can't ten children care for their mother?".....My mom died in 1994 from breast cancer and we all (my dad& her 4 children)took care of her. We did everthing she would or had done for us.That's for the love and respect she deserved,It's humiliating enough when your family has to wash you or wipe your bottom,,,what do you think it feels like when a stranger has to do it? I say decide who your parent will live with, then take turns giving each other a break.

I care for my father who suffered a stroke. I could not see placing him in a nursing home with strangers. This is the man that worked most of his life holding down two full time jobs to provide for his wife and four children. A father who was always there when needed. The man I called the best father in the whole world. No doubt you know my answer to this question. My parents would always be welcome to live in my home. ;o)

Sure. Unless you dont want them to, but I would never put my mom in a nursing home. You should show them the same love and devotion that they showed you when you were little.

I can't see why not,I would have loved for my mum to come & live with me but she has now passed away & it will never happen which makes me sad.I hope when I get old my children would love to have me living with them helping out.
If my dad needs a place to live he knows he is more than welcome to stay at my place.
