Give him some time you have hurt him and his pride right now won't let him talk to you. He's hurt and mad and needs a little time to deal with it. That's what goes on sometimes in break ups so give him some space. You're both better off if things weren't right in the relationship and you weren't happy just takes some time to heal before you might be able to be friends. Best of luck.

He has been up with the lies so as to save the relationship so that u wont find out certain things and leave him. Maybe he was afraid to tell the truth because he was scared you might get angry. He lied because he loves you.
Since you said being friends are better off you might have made him feeling guilty. He probably in a bad condition now.

If you guys been together for long, you can try talking to him explaining how much you hate lies and tell him you prefer truth over lies although it might be bitter truth. Dont be too harsh on him when he tells truth and you might not really like it.You need trust in relationship. That trust you need to build.
If you feel its worth trying, talk to him again he is trying to avoid this talking because the break up not in his mind.

I think the age does matter because it sounds like you need time to be free and figure out what's for you. Hang out with other guys and have friends. At this young of an age, you shouldn't be hung up on someone else's inability to move on. At the same time, the young age explains his hang up about being friends with you. I can totally understand why he wouldn't want to and you dumped him, but in time he'll get comfortable with telling women how he feels. He'll have many more break ups in the future and hopefully will do one of two things

1. Become a pro at licking his wounds and moving on

2. Grow up and stop lying to people

In the meantime, you go have fun. Enjoy your youth!

What exactly ISN'T working out 4u???
He is pretty young then,to be lying already!!!
Take some TIME apart and see what happens in the future...the two of you are so young, and the future can get even brighter*, but if it's Indeed
>>>TRUE<<< >>>LOVE<<<
then the two of you will find the way BACK.
