Preferrably from in a different room. Looking for something that will ruin speakers from a short distance w/out direct contact (via wires, etc). I have a neighbor that I have been battling with. They refuse to turn down their stereo even though I've asked nicely (since August), called the police (numerous times), and talked with management (who ignores me). It vibrates my ceiling. I'd like to have a device that makes the speakers malfunction so I can get some sleep.

This can be done with an emp device, herf gun or a microwave generator. Problem is that these will cause damage in a larger area than what you want and can be potentially hazardous. Do a little research on these topics and you'll see what I mean.

Nothing like that is available today. I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one buying/renting one if there was something out there.
I had a woman vibrating my whole house with her church music once, so I fought fire with fire. I pointed my speakers at her house and cranked up some bangin' rock. After about 15 minutes, she figured out that she had her volume up too high and I never had to do it again. Maybe your neighbors would like to listen to opera, gospel, or bluegrass for a while? :^)
