It is simple, if you are conversant with the use of Internet and simple procedures like creating login (like you create e-mail id).

Choose the airlines which are offering flights of your choice (say Delhi to Mumbai). Fill in the details required, like date of journey, from, to, no of passengers, class of travel, and then you would be guided all along.

YOu can take the print of the e-ticket, which contains all the requisite details, like flight number, date of journey, your PNR no and ticket number and name (s) of passengers. In case of an e-tciket, you have to carry photo id proof, like Driving license, PAN card or Passport. Payment is made through credit card only.

It also contains facility to cancel the ticket. Herein, some airlines credit directly to your credit card, other give you a credit note which you can use for future booking and others provide facility to get cash at designated counters.

I use travelocity.com or orbitz.com. You go to the website. Enter info about dates, passengers, special needs and then it will search for flights. Then you review the flights times, lay overs, etc and select the one you want. Then check out. Have to have credit card to purchase and write down confirmation number. Good luck

Yes you can. Book the ticket as normal (your name, addy, ect.) then when it comes to the billing information use her name and credit card #. They airline will then send you a recipt/conformation to your e-mail address (if you enter one)!
