It is a very good question . I 'm a Muslim but i didn't get it from my parents . I spend a lot of time at about 3 years and studying and researching about religions . At last i found the Islam at top of them . of course many of religions are nice and good but when you compare religions you can find more things in Islam .
Unfortunately many of us don't spent time for studying about this important item and just say our idea with religious bigotry .
Excuse me , I 'm not good at English . I 'm still studying English . Forgive my wrong words .

I'm not into this reading things into the Bible thing. Please read the passage again. Does it exclude somebody else being the Comforter?
No. It can be read without contradiction of a number of people. If Jesus had specified more details about the "Comforter" then we could say that it refers only to someone who fits the specifications.
If I say "a man will come to my door" you cannot tell which man - it could be one of 2 billion men. If I say "an Englishman" will come to my door I have narrowed it down to 30 million or so. If I say "a 5' 11" darkhaired Londoner aged around 40 years old" I've narrowed it down even further but only if I specify it in such detail that it only matches one person can we identify that person.
On the other hand if I say "an Englishman will come to my door" we can say that it does NOT refer to, say, a Welshman.
So we cannot say, from the quote, who the comforter is: but we might be able to say who it isn't. It clearly isn't anyone who was alive before Jesus - it stipulates that this is someone after Jesus. The only other stipulation I can find is that he will "abide with you forever". Now Muhammad has not abided with us forever. So although we cannot establish with certainty to whom the passage refers we can establish that it does not refer to Muhammad.

Wise up akmed, it's scripture from the New Testament!! Because every religion outside of Christianity is a false relgion and the only way to Heaven and eternal life is thru Jesus Christ. Christianity does not teach killing but peace and love unlike Islam. Whether you disbelieve these words doesn't matter as they are true all the same. Every knee will bend and tongue confess that Jesus is Lord when He returns. He is coming soon so please accept and embrace Him before it's too late. There is no allah or is there 20+ virgins waiting for you after you kill yourself for false glory. WAKE UP!!! Why don't the leaders of Islam martyr themselves instead of sending brainwashed young people? Doesn't this make you think

John is part of the New testament and he is referring to the Holy Spirit. Jesus is not a liar, and says that his words are pure words. So if the quaran is contradicting it then the Quaran is contradicting Jesus. Praise God(Jesus) for the truth. Mohamed was a prophet, but not from God.
God Bless

Muhammad was a man and nothing more. He was not a profit and he invented the Islamic scripture just as the Jews and the Christians invented the scripture of their religions - they all just dreamed it up.
Muhammad, however, as a one-man-show, did his inventing with style - he made a religion which condemned everything that came before it. How convenient it was for him that "God" (Ala) would happen to think that whomever chose to follow Muhammad should rightfully be allowed to kill anyone who didn't think killing non-believers was the right thing to do....
Islamic law is a farce and so is all of Islam. It's just a lot of made-up nonsense that was created specifically for small minded people to believe and follow - conveniently worded for the "prophet" and by the "prophet" while being quite deadly to the enemies of the "prophet." ...Utter tripe.!
The world will be a better place in which to live when Islam is no longer taught.

Do we know that
Islam, Christianity and Judaism are called Abrahamic religions.
Christ in his life time never said that I am God or worship me.
It is also not mentioned in Bible.
Nor did he claimed that he is the last prophet infact he said that he is send to earth to carry on the message ofprevious prophets likes moses, and Abraham.
Islam says the same thing.
If anybody says that Islam is wrong then he must give a valid proof.

As all of believe that GOD (Allah) is creator of this whole universe. HE is sending HIS messengers to guide the mankind on the earth. B4 Jesus(Moses (pbuh)) was sent and the people who accepted his message became Muslims. Then Jesus (pbuh) was sent by GOD Almighty and the Jews, who accepted his his message became Muslims and the other remained as Jews. The then Muslims (now Christians) were those who believe in all messengers and all books, which were b4 Jesus (pbuh).
Neither you nor I (none of us) have any right to comment, object , dictate or any other like that about GOD's will. Moreover, no one can claim (NOT POSSIBLE) that his knowledge is more than GOD (Allah (swt))'s knowledge.
Its the basic of each religion that there is NO GOD but ONE GOD. When the followers of hazat Isa (Jesus (pbuh)) started to believe in and worship more than ONE GOD then GOD (Allah(swt)) sent MOHAMMAD (pbuh), with HIS holy book (the Quran) for the guidance of mankind.
That is fact and reality and its makes no difference, if people accept that, believe in that and /or act according to the instructions of Allah (swt) Almighty. Its clear that all of us know that there is a religion called 'ISLAM' and its our duty to find the truth about that. As each of us will be questioned on the day of judgment about that, the same the people at the times of Jesus (pbuh) will be asked about him, when he was sent by GOD(swt).

I respect people, their religions and their opinions. You have a point there, but what I really want people to accept is the fact that Islam is not about terrorism, but about peace. It's not fair that there are idiots out there who call themselves Muslims and do stupid things in the name of Islam.
