I believe Henry David Thoreau asked himself this same question. It's possible. But it's harder work to make sure you are getting enough complete proteins. And you have to make sure the diet is balanced so you are getting enough amino acids and other things. I would recommend Diet for A Small Planet and /or Recipes for a Small Planet. Also check at your local Natural Health Foods store or the equivalent in your area.

Meat-free diet is very healthy.
People may say that you won't get the essential proteins but don't worry about that.
As long as you eat a variety of foods you'll be fine.

Yes. My daughter had been a vegetarian for four years when she got pregnant. The doctor told her not to eat meats because she was a vegetarian.

This is a debatable question, however, I believe the answer is wholeheartedly yes. You have to make sure to eat a variety of beans, legumes, vegetables and whole grains.
I know several people who have cured themselves of cancer by eating a macrobiotic diet.

We do not need meats to be healthy. Beans, for example have all the proteins we need as far as mushrooms. (for example)

The vegetarians have proven that. But if your planning.. you need to know that you shouldnt set goals that are too high for you.
