After you quit, you will crave it for some time. If you go back to coke, the craving will begin with only one time.

In the 50's, Coco Cola put some coke in their soft drinks. My room mate was given an allowance that was 5 times more than mine. Every day, she asked me to go downstairs and buy her a coke from the coke machine. She bought me a coke for my trouble. She did this every day except on her day off. In just a matter a days, she was not there to buy me a coke. I craved it so bad. I finally had to go downstairs and buy my own. When I left nursing school, I had this craving for some time. If I even had one coke after that, I would again crave the coke. My room mate was drinking 6 bottles of coke a day by the time I left. No wonder Coco Cola stock jumped so high during those years. I am truly glad that now Coco Cola can not put coke in their Coco Cola anymore.

Although its not chemically or physically addicting it IS mentally addicting :/ you dont need to go to rehab thats a stupid reason to get ppl who think they have problems to throw money at the govt and then the govt in turn can have "proof" that the drug is bad. No matter what people say, and go read reports on it (actual studies not govt funded), your body cant physically or chemically develop a dependency on the drug I used to smoke weed 8-9 times a day and i ate XTC tabs daily like it was candy which eventually led to my OD on over 20 tabs in one night.... You just have to quit, honest to God, ive quit XTC, Cocaine, and Cigs after being addicted to all of them at some point, and the only real way to do it is by quitting cold turkey. Theres no weening off of it. You either quit all together or your not going to quit. Just overcome the mental aspect of it and within a week or 2 you wont have any problems with it. The first week or so is the hardest obviously and its unfortunate. But if your serious about it you can do it. Try chewing gum, eating, and sleeping while your trying to overcome it. Or go out. And make sure you dont hang out with ppl who smoke cause it will make you relapse trust me If i made it through an overdose and 3 addictions WITHOUT rehab on things harder to quit then weed then you can quit smoking weed. Rehab is a joke, ive had friends go there and it doesnt help worth a flip, they come back and luagh about how dumb it was and go right back to where they were. And then at that point the govt can be like "look drugs are ruining these kids lives they have to go to rehab".... pots never done any harm and it never will, no ones EVER died off of it Just quit, it can be as easy as it sounds if you make it that way. Just quit, give away what you have and just quit. It works Oh and by the way George Washington did not smoke pot, that is a myth. He did grow hemp but there is no evidence that he actually smoked it George Washington smoked cannabis A legend that is particularly popular among cannabis users in the United States is that George Washington (and/or other Founding Fathers such as Thomas Jefferson) used it as well.[51] This legend even made its way into popular films such as Dazed and Confused. While it is well known by historians that both Washington and Jefferson grew industrial hemp, and used the fibers for rope, clothing, etc., there is no credible evidence that they smoked or otherwise consumed the psychoactive parts of the plant.

He should switch to Pepsi.....or maybe 7-up (no caffeine)! Seriously though, he may have some trouble for a couple of days, but the good news is that coke does not stay in your system for long, so he should get over it within a week, usually less, just keep him busy. Its more of the mental addiction he needs to worry about, but since he wants to do it, it will make it easier on him as long as he sticks to his guns.

he will go through withdraws.. be irratable.. possibly give in. i hope he doesnt. and if he doesnt.. he could come out with a healthier body, better skin, and a sense of self accomplishment. i would encourage him to quit cold turkey it will not be harmful because he hasnt been doing it long enough. sometimes theres a drug prescribed from the doc for people who have been doin it for years that will trick your body i think it prevents you from have a major panic attack.. and the doses get smaller and smaller :-) I'll pray for him/her.

Nothing! Cocaine is not physically addicting. He'll go through psychological withdrawal as he learns to live without it, but he won't have a heart attack or anything. He'll have a heart attack if he keeps playing with Cocaine. He just needs to man up and get er done.
