1)Do you masterbate?
2)How often?
3)If you don't (or claim that you don't) why is it that in my Human Sexuality course it states that 98% of men and 92% of women do?
4)Why are people afraid to admit it if almost everyone is doing it?

1. Yes. I masturbate, and so does everyone else I know. Well, just about everyone else. No one comes to mind.
2. About... Twice a week? Maybe thrice? The reason I don't do it every day like most other teenagers is because sex is not meant to be had alone. It's a union, and a hugely emotional act. Masturbation deadens that connection.
3. Well, I guess your course is exaggerating a little, but I know statistics prove at least 9/10 people masturbate. If you are hungry, you eat. If you are horny, you seek sexual gratification. Basic instincts lead a lot of people to masturbate when a sexual partner is not readily available.
4. Because it's still a private act. Most people don't like the image of their friends naked, so it's not usually talked about casually. Also, it substantially lowers the level of professionalism if students or workers are talking about it openly. Things like that, social etiquette, you know.

2) Once a week.
3) Your human sexuality course does not cover all the demographics about the subjects. Beside all the subjects are under a controlled experiment. Its a human behavior to deviate from the natural behaviors when they know that they are themselves the subjects of the controlled experiment. Its called the statistical error.
4) No one is afraid to tell. Its just who you ask and when?

do i masturbate much.... hmm, DO I BREATHE AND EAT FOOD?!?!
i have a high sex drive so usually 3+ times a day.. i wish i didn't have to do it, but the urge always come back. it sucks. but if i don't do it, i'm walking around with a big erection and well, that's just embarrassing and uncomfortable. :(
as for actual sex, that's different... it isn't more physically pleasurable than masturbation, so i like it to be with someone i love
about admitting it, well i know everybody does it, everyone knows that, so... but i don't want people knowing how much i do it, and that i've watched a ton of porn.

3. i may agree with you in that percent of men but not of women. if i am not mistaken i have seen the %for women probably 60-70%
