okay, I was out with my friends last night and i met this guy who's a friend of someone that I know. anyway, we were seriously flirting, and i thought that he was really sweet (the whole combination- smart, funny, kind, cute...). Small problem. My friend claims that he's got a girlfriend, but I don't really know if she's jealous or being honest here, because he wasn't paying any attention to her. Please help me! what should I do next time I see him? Only serious answers please.

Tell him you met his girlfriend when he tries to flirt with you again and be all serious, if he asks you who then say oh you already forgot her name and then have your friend ready to refresh his memory, that way if he doesn't you can always blame it on your crazy friend.

You just have to take it slow. You can still flirt if he's flirting, but if he does have a girlfriend than thats a pretty sucky sign that hes totally flirtatious even when he's supposed to be committed to someone. Unless he's just like that with everyone and his g/f doesnt care. Point is, just go slow to allow more time to assess the situation. Can't always trust someone who tells you something like that who may just be jealous.

Ask him. If he's flirting the next time you see him ask him. Don't read into you're friend being jealous before you know for sure. And that doesn't mean he won't lie.

just ask him, if you need advice from a bunch of stranges over how to handle this relationship before it even happens then there is almost no hope. So, the best thing to do is just to be upfront
