Christ's crucifixion and resurrection established the "Door" of "Rebirth" to step beyond the threshold of the fallen, corrupt and degenerate nature and begin your "Salvation Walk" with Christ. It is a "process" through which you are to work out your salvation in fear and trembling. It is a process in which the Triune Godhead (Father God, Son of God [Yeshua: Jesus] and the Holy Spirit), combined, "rewire" and "reconstruct” your Tripartite Attributes of Human Wholeness (Pneuma [Spirit], Psyche [Soul], and Soma [Body]). This can only be accomplished due to Christ's Redemptive Deed upon the Cross of Calvary, which allows you to be reconciled back to the Father when you accept Christ as your Savior. Those Christians, who do not put off the "old nature" and do not emulate Christ, put their salvation in jeopardy. Hence, the threat of Hell is ever present. Thus, accepting Christ alone is no guarantee of entry in Heaven. Rather, it is the combination of being “Born Again” (Rebirth in Christ) AND FAITH AND WORKS.

There is no if he died. Yes he died for our sins. Those who confess your sins and go and sin no more, are free from the threat of hell. If you continue to sin, you must acknowledge your sins before the Lord. There is no one on earth that has not sinned. The bible says, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Just as parents punish their children, so does our Father in Heaven. He does not want us to go to hell he wants us to live with Him. Hell is not the ultimate goal of God. His plan is that we seek Him and do our best to live as he would. Jesus died as an example of perfection. Suffering makes us perfect. Jesus suffered and he was perfect. What makes us any different that we don't have to suffer. The difference in Jesus suffering is that it was for us. Now when we suffer, it is so that we remain closer to God.

He knew coming here and teaching would cause others to kill his natural capsule. But since he came to teach us how to live, we now , being enlightened, have hope of salvation through his life. It was a sacrifice made for the greater good of mankind. God had not predestined the Romans and Jews to kill him, he simply could just look into the future and see it happen. As with us - we have free will, he did not plan for me to stub my toe - I chose the path on my own, he simply just knew that I would. I can choose to follow his footsteps, which truly would be him dieing for my sins, and receive salvation - or - I can stub my toe.

If hell was not real; there would be no point to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible says that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We all deserve to be punished. God sent Jesus Christ to take the punishment for us. Our salvation is a free gift from a kind and loving God. All we have to do is choose to accept it by turning from our sin and believing in Jesus Christ. God's plan is so perfect in it's simplicity; but so many people refuse the gift of salvation. They would rather continue in their sin; or they are too proud to realize they cannot save themselves. I understand it because I was like that myself. Praise God that I didn't die in my sin. It isn't too late for you either.

It will explain why Jesus had to die so that we can live.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We all have sinned and fallen short of what God has for us, so if we were to have any hope of eternal life, we needed a perfect sacrifice. Since Jesus was the only human that was without sin, God allowed him to be crucified so that we could have eternal life. He actually went into the pit of hell for us but was resurrected as was prophesied before his death. The thing is that God created us with free will so in order for Jesus' death to cover our sin, we need to accept him as our Lord and Savior. . .simply believe that He's God's son and that he died for our sin. All we need to do is receive the gift of eternal life and it's ours. God continues to disclose himself to us through the Bible and through how Christ lived and what he taught his disciples. He also continues to reveal himself as we pray and surrender ourselves to Him. It's really an amazing gift that is a matter of both choice and surrender. I hope that helps.

Jesus died for all of us. He took the sins of the world, past present and future, on his body as he hung on the cross. But, that doesn't do you any good until you repent of your sins and accept Christ as your Savior.
Some people don't care about Christ's sacrifice and they're not willing to make him Lord of their life. By rejecting Christ, they accept their fate in hell.

If you accept His sacrifice, His death to pay for our sins, there is no more threat of hell, pretty good deal! That was the point! The key is to accept the gift he has so freely given us.

Jesus died to save us from hell, you right. he took our electric chair, basically. BUT... you have to believe in him and his works to enter the kingdom of God.
this is the most famous verse in the bible:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, SO THAT WHOEVER BELIEVED IN HIM shall never die but have eternal life.'
John 3:16
