I would cure "born" physical deformaties because soicety is mean and unsympathetic to their needs. Some might argue that this would make the world less diverse, but I think the world is still plenty diverse with race, relogion, and intelligence, among many other things!

If I could cure one thing it would be greed, because if the world was rid of greed it would also cure the world of many of it's other problems. It would put an end to world hunger because there is more than enough food to go around .. just it isn't being shared. It would cure many diseases because the Pharmaceutical companies would actually try to cure people rather than be more concerned about their bottom dollar, doctors that are already wealthy would have no problem volunteering their services to those less fortunate, The rich would not just get richer while the poor get poorer because it is greed that causes all of that. Crime would be almost obsolete because most crimes are commited because of greed. It would put an end to war because war is also a result of greed.. the need for more land , resources, or finanical gain is all a result of greed. Without greed the world would be a very different place to live ... a better place. =)

Cancer. I would cure cancer as it has become basically an epidemic. It affects all people from the very young to the very old and does not discriminate. There are so many things I would like to have a cure for, but right now cancer is at the top of my list. Next would be Aids.

It would definitely have to be CANCER.
People that get cancer just do because some cells in their body decides to malfunction or over divide or over-grow or something!
People get cancer because some distant uncle or aunt they probably never even met had it! People get cancer because their father had it (prostate cancer) or cos ther mother did (breast cancer). Its not something u can help. How bout women that get cervical cancer because they had sex early or cos they'v had more than one sexual partner during the course of their life. That puts ALMOST every woman over 25 in that danger zone!
People hav had cancer that was detected early and had chemotherapy and the cells were totally removed only to have the cancer re-occur 2-3 yrs down the line just when they were recovering from the whole previous trauma. And when cancer re-occurs, the probability of it reccuring again is sooo high!
I thot of AIDS or even STD's as a whole and it would be great if a cure for AIDS esp was found but for now, its something that can partially be prevented...through BEHAVIOUR. But for CANCER, behaviour or not, 'it is just one of those things that happen'!
With HIV/AIDS, there are drugs now that help people living with HIV/AIDs (PLWHA) to live a better quality of life. Infact, life expectancy for PLWHA has soared to an all new high now.
Some1 said malaria. I live in Africa & believe me, malaria can be better managed now than ever before if only people would comply with their drugs or the drugs are made available but believe me, there are drugs for every form of Malaria.
And lets not 4get the impact on life. If u'r HIV+ve, no one has to know except maybe your partner. U can just quietly viisit ur GP & take ur drugs regularly, follow your GP's instructions and u should be o.k except for 1 or 2 odd cases, but with Cancer, ur whole family,friends & neighbours WILL know. Lets not forget that u have to go through Surgery and take time off from work to do the surgery, undergo Chemo & the hair falling off bit.....?
So, i still maintain that if i could cure one thing, it would be CANCER

Cancer..........without a doubt. I would be surprised if there wasn't some kind of a cure already. But there's too much money in research to reveal it. Too many friends have died already. Excuse me, but I'm really negative on this situation.

Alzheimer's disease, because it is an epidemic waiting to happen, there millions of baby boomers just on the edge of this happening to them no one knows what causes it and there is no cure in sight. There will not even be enough people to look after the victims af Alzheimer's. fair warning

I would cure AIDS because I've seen too many people die horrible deaths from it.

i would cure cancer because that's the most frightening thing in my mind. i would cure that because cancer maynot be the most harmful disease but it is surely bad.

emotional pain. why ? in my experience people will do just about anything to escape it such as drink or drug, gamble or become workaholics, they will become compulsive and or obsessive about something or several things to avoid it and pretty soon they are in denial of it then watch out because anger and resentment set in ....but um ... that's just my opinion ...
