By prettier clothes in smaller sizes as you put off the weight. So if you're trying to lose 30 pounds and say you lost ten, buy yourself a nice dress. It'll make you feel better even if you aren't at your goal.

I think the ultimate motivation is to know that things don't happen overnight. And that it takes time to see some major changes in physical terms.

Keep patting yourself on the back. Give yourself lots and lots of positive reinforcement. Congratulate yourself that you're doing a good job.
