Yes its' ok but you have to careful. My best mate was a guy and we'd known each other for years but over the course of about 2 weeks we spent more time together and got closer and ended up sleeping with each other and had a brief relationship that just seemed wierd. Now i still speak to him but it's never the same as it was when he was my best mate. I have a crush on one of my other mates and he knows it but i'd never act on it, firstly and most importantly becuase i have a guy and secondly, i wouldn't want to ruin the friendship i had with him. Crushes are inevitable and some times it may succesfully lead to other things but i'd advise you to certainly give it a lot of thought if you ever act on it. Hope that helps honey x!

It's natural to feel some fire works with a friend of the opposite gender, but I suggest you try to not turn this friendship into anything more until you both know each other really well, and you suspect she feels the same way about you. You don't want to ruin a great friendship. But at the same time, if you're older than maybe sixteen, (because younger people's relationships usually last less than a month, and that's not worth risking a friendship,) and you're pretty sure that she has feelings for you too, go for it and see what happens.

OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!! im dating my best friend and we've been together for 2 years!! Best thing i ever did because I love him!! if it doesnt work out then you know your just ment to be friends! But i'm so luck to have my boyfriend, and even more fortunate that he's my best friend and i know he'll always be there for me. I think its perfectly fine obviously!!

You know a lot of marriages start with being friends. If you can be friends, then feelings can grow into something more beautiful. It is awesome to be able to say, "I married my best friend."

Yes! You're bf or gf should be your best friend. I think that is what makes a relationship work when you can have fun together and can be yourself. I hope she likes you back.

this always happens!! haven't you heard that girls and boys can never become friends!! so don't worry it is completely normal to like your best friend!but you shouldn't tell her that you like her because she will feel uncomfortable and you will loose her friendship so just make sure that she likes you too before expressing your feelings to her!
