If you like a guy it shouldn't matter what your friends think unless they know he's out to use or hurt you or know (for a fact, not rumor) that's he's bad news, like a druggie, heavy drinker, into trouble all the time or hurts women. You should not live your life the way others want you to after all it is your life.

My answer? Yes.
At the end of the day, if you mean your friends when you say everybody, they will respect you no matter what. If they don't, they aren't true friends.
I went through the same problem four years ago, and four years on, I'm still with the same guy. Follow your feelings, not everyone else's, cus at the end of the day, you'll never know what could have happened between you unless you go for it.

Yes. What they think doesn't matter as long as you like him. Besides, maybe the reason they don't like him is because they haven't had the opportunity to see the good things about him that you see. I also think it would be pretty shallow to not like someone just because your friends don't like him. There is no law that says people who are friends with one another have to like the same things or the same people. If they give you a hard time about it, you need new friends because they aren't really your friends. A true friend would accept your difference in opinion and leave it at that.

Ask them why they don't like this person and then make your own judgment accordingly. There is no 1+1=2 answer to your problem here.

What is important is what you like. Any two people's ideas of what is likeable or not is going to be completely different. You need to please yourself and not worry about what other people think. It's not their life to decide.

those people who do not like him are they your friends, if your friends or family dont like they guy, then dont go for him, i believe in instincts perhaps they feel a bad vibe about this person, but if you could prove them wrong then go for him
