A Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSC Eng) is what you get when the school's engineering programs are under the science budget and not their own engineering budget - both in terms of funding from the school's coffers and from external research grant applications.

A Bachelor of Engineering (B Eng) on the other hand is its own separate budget centre.

Typically, schools based on the British system will have a BSC Eng degree offered, while American schools will tend to be B Eng. Schools based on the British system don't have to be in the UK, either ... Canada is another one using the same system.

Different countries give different names to their degrees. In the USA, one says "BS degree" or "MS degree". In the UK, one says "BSc (Eng) degree" . Look at the universities that give their degrees different names and compare the syllabus of each - that's the best way to judge the differences.
