They are 5 weeks old now and the tan is about 6 cm taller and a bit more mature than the black one, though they are the same age. Does anyone know abot which is bantam and which is Australorp

I have chickens too but can't determine which your baby chickens would be without seeing them. Do you think she may have interbred her Australorps with her bantams as it's really easy to do when you have a mixture of breeds.
Here's some info I found on both breeds which have pics.

Check out the web site for great info on chicken about the different breeds and such.

Both sell all different types of chickens and have pictures of what each breed looks like.
Many of the birds have the same type or color patterns and it can be hard to tell one from another.
The bantams are smaller birds when full grown than the Australorps are.

It sounds like the one with 5 toes is a Silkie Bantam, gently blow on the fleathers (or part them with your fingers) till you can see it's skin, if the skin is black or blue looking, it's a silkie, if it's orangish colored, then it's a silkie cross.

If that 1 is a silkie, then you'll have a chicken that looks like it has a fur coat, as silkie feathers don't interlock like normal feathers. Silkies make great pets!!! I had a rooster who was leash trained and loved going to auctions & flea markets all the time.

"Silkies have the appearance of a big fluffy ball of feathers due to their feathers lacking functioning barbicels; essentially, all their feathers are very much like down. Their unique appearance and quiet temperament mean they are often kept as pets."
