Are you adopted?
First of all, one of your parents isn't really your parent. If both parents are type A, their children can only be type A or O. Your B allele came from somewhere else. You might want to re-test, otherwise you've got some serious family issues to work out, or a nice talk with your mom.

Well. one of your parents has to be rh negitive for you to be. Ab - is a rare blood type but I'm not a believer in that making you more sickly. Chances are your mother is negitive too. Ask her, she'll know. Pregnant women who are negitive have to have a special injection during and after pregnancy to prevent developing antibodies againts rh positive blood!

It is genetically impossible for you to have that blood type with parents who are a+. You would have had to inherit the B allele as it is recessive. I hope the links below can help you a little to understand. Good luck. They also have info on the rH factor.

That's not possible. The fact the you are AB means that one parent was A and the other was B or that each was a combination thereof. You can only have the Rh factor of the father.

It's possible that one of your parents was a carrier for one of the types of hereditary anemias. Anemia doesn't necessarily affect all people who are carrying it. I'm not sure what you're getting at, since placing the blame isn't going to help your fight.
