The name calling doesn't bother me. The only thing that really upsets me is the blasphemy against God. I feel bad because I know there will be a day when God will pour out his wrath upon them. It's kind of like seeing someone walking on a train track oblivious to the fact the train is coming. You can try to warn them; but if they call you ignorant and refuse to listen, what can you do?

Christians!?
dont you get offended by the people who call names and insults us because of what we believe in?
>everybody gets offended, or there will always be somebody out there that will take offense in something about you, or something you do or say.
if you are secure in who you are & who you are in the sight of God & if you are led not by your flesh but by the Spirit of God...then any offense is a welcome opportunity to let others know about the love of God.
What do you do when that happens?
>you do what the Spirit of God tells you. (& that's when you see if you are actually a real believer in Christ & sealed by the guaranteed Spirit)
although we are human, & most days if not everyday we do fall short of the glory of God...we ask for forgiveness, we learn from it, we trust God to help us next time & we try anew.

no, i do not get offended when called names or insulted on this site. first of all, christians will be persecuted and the put downs here seem to be just that. i kind of look at the insults as the class bully who was hurting inside and chose to hurt others with their words and actions. Jesus was ridiculed, so will we also. our job is not to convince others we are right in following Christ. we too need not slander others for what they believe, even if it is contrary to our own beliefs. our words need to be showered in love.

Well, I have been becoming friends with some of them. I try to understand. I also pray Jesus' words "Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing." I am not without sin myself. I believe that we are here to love one another.
Christians are not that friendly either. And recently I contcted one Jew I never care to talk with agian. We all fall short from the glory of God.

it's funny that you say christians are the ones attacked when historically they're the ones attacking. the crusades is a good example. the inquisition. the witch trials. anyone different from you, you kill if they don't convert. how can you say you're so attacked? if anything, you guys have a lot of karma to pay for and biblically (yes, i know your book pretty decently), karma falls on the heads of those who inherit from previous generations. you should have been expecting this.

All of you will reach your paradise and be free from the defensive attacks when you all learn to respect others opinions, stop the name calling, trying to force your beliefs on others, and the threats of intervention or internal punishment by some fictitious being.

I just think of what Jesus said on the cross, 'Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." They are not saved so do not expect them to behave like angels! But we have the fruit of the Spirit to accept them. Halleluyah!

Jesus said "blessed are you when people say all manner of evil against you for my sake, rejoice and be exceeding glad, for great is your reward in heaven". I don't enjoy having people laugh at me or mock the things I say, but I do understand where this comes from. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, spiritual wickedness in high places. I know who the father of lies is....it's satan, and he has deceived many.
I keep my eyes on Jesus and my heart on His word.
