I have noticed he has selected the Reyes punching gloves, he is definitely going to try and trade with Manny, i am really worried about this, i love Eric but this looks like a massive mistake to me surely the only way to win is to try and outbox him.

Ernest Ian - your right about the brittle hands bit, and this is another thing that surprises me about the selection of gloves because im sure Erik broke his hand fighting before so it just seems really strange he would select Reyes gloves, the only thing i can put it down to is that he knows its inevitable that its gonna be a war. I think if he hasnt KO'd Manny after 4 rounds his corner should throw the towel in, it looks like he is going for an early KO if he dont get it i am worried for him later in the fight, i just hope he dont get hurt too bad.

Maybe, Morales' camp thinks that Eric has improved in the power department. Maybe they are thinking of a KO win too. Who knows.?

But personally, I think... Cleto Reyes gloves is also good for a boxer not only for a puncher. A defensive jab will sting greater with this gloves. If Eric will try to box Manny, the gloves will give PacMan trouble since Jabs and not that powerful punches of a boxing Morales will relatively hurt Pacquiao coming in since padding is not that thick.

The danger for Morales is that Pacquiao is also using the Reyes gloves. "Reyes Gloves" + "Manila Ice" = TOTAL DEVASTATION!!

I believe "El Terible" doesn't really care that much about the gloves. If he boxes very well and avoid exchanges, he has a very good chance. BUT if Manny's speed and power tags him, he will suffer his 2nd KO loss.

By the way, Reyes gloves is not suitable for brittle hands. Mayweather avoid this type of gloves.

I think he's going to try to avenge the KO loss in their last fight by taking it right to Manny and get a knock out himself. Not a smart strategy on his part, but Erik has a ton of pride and that pride was wounded after being stopped by Manny so my guess is that by choosing the puncher's gloves, he's sending a clear message to Manny that he's coming to fight and slug it out. I think he is putting himself in a bit of danger if he doesn't use his jab and superior reach and box this guy. The best way for Morrales to win is to use some movement and land some good jabs and drop some good right hands in but Manny will be pressing him and forcing him to fight so i look for another war.

Eric Morales is one of my favourite boxers of all time. He's a warrior who's already fought enough wars and trilogies against great boxers like Barerra and Pacquiao. Age is catching up on him and he should consider retiring because he'll definitely get knocked out and get beat up really bad by a younger, stronger, faster Pacquiao.

Any time any boxer steps into any ring to fight he is putting himself in danger.
