I mean, seriously, what is wrong trying to comprehend the so-called "decisions" of God?

We are all trying to understand the nature of God, yet religion itself shut us from asking such questions and simply tells us to accept it.

Why is a Christian satisfied with taking every word as the utmost truth? Where is your curiosity?

I believe a God that does not want to be judged has a lot of explaining to do.

My view is that there is no law against trying to "comprehend" the nature of God, rather its just that its impossible. Here is why: the tool used to "comprehend" anything is the mind. But God is beyond mind.
God is an allness and perfect Love that words can't describe.
There is a tradition of religious people known as mystics who try to connect with God through "contemplation." Such people are found in all faiths including Christianity. "Contemplation" differs from "comrpehension" because its a way of knowing that goes beyond the mind into a deeper and once again, indescribable experience of God's sacred love. This path is not for everyone but for those who have such a calling it is a way that God can be experienced if not comprehended.

First of all, God does not owe you anything. We are the ones who owe. The best part is that Jesus paid that debt with his death on the cross and the freedom from sin came with the completion of his resurrection.
Now as for answering questions, God does answer questions. You have to study, pray and do his work and as you go, you learn about God and his answers. One of the greatest misconceptions people have is that they believe God owes them an answer and it had better be the right one. Well boys and girls. I'm here to tell you that you may or may not get an answer and if you do. It may be one you do not want to hear. As for the curiosity factor, A true Christian will be curious because they will want to learn about God's Word, Christ and the Holy Spirit. They will also seek (the key is seek) God's will for them. As for understanding God, We will never fully understand God until we are standing in his presence (hopefully for many of us). Look. You have to see coming to understanding God as you would in any good relationship and like any good relationship. We will never come to fully understand what the other person is always up to. The difference between them and God is God will always show us his grace and willingness to forgive with the exception of Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. On earth it is hard to find grace and forgiveness. And if I were you, I would not be worrying on how to judge God. I would be more concerned with how you will be JUDGED by God!!! As for being satisfied with God's truth. Call it faith. "...blessed are they that have not seen yet have believed." John 20:29

Or how they thought the solar revolved around the Earth? yet then good old technology found out precisely what grew to become into occurring and their theories have been debunked? I don't think there is anything wrong with comprehending God's decisions. In fact, a Christian is suppose to examine their beliefs. Job questioned God and his actions and he got answers -- powerful statements too. Religion, especially in the past abused their authority and suppressed their members from the truth because they wanted to control them. But being Christian means following the path of Christ, not an organization. If you want to know God, then seek him, question him -- maybe you'll get an answer. Believe me, we are not the only ones in this universe. We'd have pretty big egos to think so. Enjoy your spiritual journey.

Read the story of Job. God is God and He has His reasons. We can ask a lot of things from God,but in the end, you need to decide if you want to be with God or not. Be wise like Job.What do you think He would have been benefiting for judging, cursing or judging God for his hardships. God is God no matter what we think of Him.

I serve my Lord. I do not have to understand everything in His business to run some errands for Him.

well, all we have is human perspective, either your own or that of some group of ancient people who passed on or wrote down their
God concepts.

frankly, i just don't believe that the human mind is capable of expanding enough to encompass the infinite. in the "presence of the infinite" the human mind stops because there are no recognizable symbols or any way to make comparative values.
there is only the experience of that infinite Now.

hehehe! i prove my point as there are no words that come close to being adequate with which can express my meaning.

Don't confuse belief that the bible is the word of God with a lack of questioning. If I had not been curious and questioning, I would not have come to the conclusion that I can trust it. I have studied the bible for ten years, in some depth. No one told me I had to believe it; I came to this conclusion myself.

If ever in your life you decide to humble yourself before God, He will in turn bestow on you the wisdom and understanding you will need in order to fully accept Him and His only begotten Son Jesus Christ that with this will come faith to repent of your sins and become a new creation in Christ. It is then that questions like the one you wrote will never have to be written as you will have that missing knowledge that make it useless.><>

I am not a Christian, yet my heart resonates with the teachings and deeds of Jesus. Jesus clearly taught against being judgemental. I also believe the essence of god is written in our hearts. It is what Native American call "the great mystery." That way of looking at it works for me.

Men cannot comprehend God with his natural mind because God's thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways (Isa 55:8,9) But God wants us to have His wisdom, knowledge and understanding to know Him and that is why His wants our minds renewed. God is very interested in us knowing Him and this is why He blesses us when we seek to know Him more intimately. It takes God's wisdom to know God, this is the bottom-line.
